I know this has even less importance than the great oatmeal discussion, but do any of you folks who live in/near Indy know if the former Chambers corporate HQ building still exists?
I understand Mapquest or Google has some downloadable program where, instead of sweating out the walk or drive, one can sit back and simply type in the address to get a look at the property. I am not so inclined, reclined or otherwise disposed to do so, but know that some of you are more technologically able.
Perhaps, if the building does exist, it would be interesting to see it displayed on/in the virtual convention site.
Here's the address: 2464 N. Meridian Street, Indianapolis.
Thanks in advance, and don't come down on me too hard, you oatmeal folks.
Regards,
Joe O

Joe;
You know, there are sub-levels of assimilation. And oatmeal fanaticism is one of them. Go ahead. Fire up that twell. Give em a try. Resistance is futile.

Geesh, can't a body get a straight thread around here?
All I wanted was for Mark to pick this up, do all the hard work, and post a photo of the Chambers HQ building, while I just sat back and did nothing. Was that asking too much?
This is all evidence that Chambers worship offers hope for humanity. Any of you ever see the episode of Dr. Who where the enemy battallions of King-Tut like robots were defeated by the illogic of "Paper-Rock-Scissors"?
That same illogic is abundant in our posts, and it should NOT be wasted! So, today I am starting a petition, and writing a letter to my Congressman, proposing that when the aliens actually DO attack, that we tell them this website is vital to human existance. The aliens will immediately log on, and, a few minutes after doing so, their brains, or whatever they use to process rational thought, will resemble T-Well oatmeal, cooked WITHOUT the gas turned off.
Of course, I'll need signatures from y'all.

Is the HQ you're referring to the same as the facility in Shelbyville? There's a pic on Todd's site of the Shelbyville facility:
http://www.chamberstoves.net/Scrapbook.html
which is about half way down the page. The verbage says that the facility no longer stands.
If you're referring to another place, lemme know and I'll do some research. :-)

Mark:
I can't see any satelite on the google page. Even when I click on the link you provided, just the regular google map shows up. Maybe it's that I've got a Mac.
And RQ, no, it's not the Shelbyville factory, but the Indianapolis corporate headquarters building I'm curious about.
Ann: "Sub-levels of assimilation." Oooohhh, I LIKE that!!
